We have had a busy start to the school year.  In Math, we are learning our 1-18 basic addition and subtraction facts.  Second graders are required to know these by the end of the year.  We also have been learning to tell time, count money and problem solve. In Reading, we have begun our guided reading groups.  Your child should be reading every night and recording their book on their reading log.  We also have started our phonics groups.  

We have started violin lessons every Monday.  We have learned how to hold the violin in many positions,  the parts of a violin and the string names.
