Dear Families:
Our students have been working hard to increase reading and math skills. We have just completed testing that measures their growth from fall to winter. Results show that our students are making progress, but we must continue this work to ensure all students meet target proficiency goals. It is crucial that your child reads each night for twenty minutes and completes the reading focus sheets. Students should also complete math homework, and spend five minutes each night on basic facts. Spring conferences are just around the corner. They will be held March 7th, 8th and 9th. Teachers look forward to sharing important information about your child’s growth at these conferences.
Parent Academy classes are up and running! Each Tuesday evening, through March 6th, we are bringing in resources to help you and your child be successful in school. There is still time to join us. We also have monthly parent group meetings, designed to get your input and share information on how we can best meet the needs of our families. If you are interested in participating in any of our parent groups, please contact Tia Yang at 651-293-8795.
Sixth grade parents will need to register for junior high by March 9th. All other students at Saint Paul Music Academy will be automatically enrolled at our school for the 2012-2013 school year. There is no need to reapply. We look forward to serving all of our returning students in grades pre-K through fifth grade next year.
