Students have Reader's Workshop for 60 minutes every day.  There is a 15-20 minute lesson that models and focuses on a reading strategy.  Students then practice this strategy during their own independent reading time.  Also during this time, small reading groups meet with the teacher for guided reading.  During the last 10 minutes, we share what we have learned.

Students should be reading for 20 minutes each night, and completing their Reading Response.
