Literacy:

Learns and uses new words when speaking, liatening, reading, and writing.

Listens, asks question and tells ideas for different purposes.

Uses knowledge of word parts to build meaning when reading.

Responds to literature through speaking, listening, and writing.

Plans, drafts and revises to improve writing.

Uses standard grammar, punctuation and spelling.

Knows and uses different ways of writing to engage the reader.

 

Math:

Explains thinking when solving problems.

Estimates, compares and computes fractions, decimals and percents.

Estimates, then adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides to solve problems.

Describes number patterns, writes and solves equations using variables.

Describes, creates, compares shapes and angles.

Collects, displays and analyzes data and uses probability.

Estimates, then calculates area and volume.
